The optimist in me says that 141 lost advertisers is hard to come back from, and that public outrage reached a fever-pitch that was heard loud and clear.

The pessimist in me knows that Rush will always be a moneymaker for broadcasters no matter how batshit crazy his ideas are, and it’s likely many of these advertisers will silently slide back behind Rushbo once the dust has settled a bit.

Ultimately I think we just have to wait until he dies off, unfortunately.

…but not because he’s dead. Rather, because he’s an offensive idiot. Limbaugh’s three-day tirade on Sandra Fluke and other “sluts” on birth control isn’t sitting well.

Is there anything I can do to (legally) speed his demise? When friends get sick, I send "get well soon" cards, with mixed results - some get well soon, others slowly, still others completely disregard my good medical advice, and get worse, or even die.

I absolutely do not advocate anybody doing anything, legal or not, to speed up the death of Rush Limbaugh.

It’s the right wing nutjobs who are out there promoting “2nd Amendment remedies” and violence against those they oppose. We’re better than that.

I do not wish for Rush’s death, I’m simply keeping track of his status.
